The MA degree in Counseling is a 60-hour program, and it meets the state academic requirements for licensure as a school counselor and/or a Licensed Professional Counselor in most states. The Department of Counselor Education prepares counselors with sound practical and relational skills, a comprehensive theoretical knowledge base, a strong counselor identity, and the personal and professional dispositions necessary to work in various professional settings with diverse clientele.
