Here are the Top 5 Reasons you should consider applying to the Western New England University Doctor of Pharmacy Program: More than Medicine: As the pharmacy profession changes, the primary role of the pharmacist has evolved beyond dispensing medicine. The College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at WNE prepares learners for their role of “Pharmacist as Educator.” In classes with a faculty to student ratio of just 9:1, our professors use a personal approach to pharmacy education, sharing how to dispense knowledge and advice to patients in clinical settings. Add to Your Resume: The Experiential Education Program is the practice of component of the PharmD program curriculum. These experiential opportunities will enhance your knowledge, prepare you to provide excellent pharmaceutical care and provide you with skills that today’s employers are looking for. State-of-the-Art-Facilities: You’ll study in the amazing Center for Science and Pharmacy, home to 19 labs as well as a model pharmacy for outpatient dispensing, clinical patient assessment rooms, and multipurpose and sterile products labs. Combined Pharmacy and Business Programs: Our cross disciplinary approach to teaching allows us to offer combined degrees in collaboration with the College of Business through the PharmD/MBA and PharmD/MS in Organizational Leadership programs for students who see their future in leadership roles. The WNE Class of 2020 earned an impressively high first-time pass rate (93.2%) the third consecutive year the College’s pass rate has exceeded the national average.
